The talk is reserved for Ph.D. and Master’s students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. We will focus on the methodology of elite interviews and elite surveys/experiments.

About Heidi Hardt:
Prof. Heidi Hardt is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of California, Irvine, a non-resident senior fellow with the Atlantic Council and a non-resident fellow with the Council on Strategic Risks. Her research focuses on NATO, US and European security, alliance politics, organizational change, learning, international organizations, gender and climate security. Prof. Hardt is the author of many journal articles, book chapters and two books with Oxford University Press: NATO’s Lessons in Crisis: Institutional Memory in International Organization (2018) and Time to React: The Efficiency of International Organizations in Crisis Response (2014). Her research has been funded by NSF, Fulbright, NATO, Carnegie and IGCC. She has also worked for the NATO Desk at the US State Department, a US Senator and US Congresswoman during Prof. Hardt's time as a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellow.
