Jakub Tesař is a postdoctoral researcher at Peace Research Center Prague and an assistant professor at the Institute of Political Studies, Charles University.


Research focus

In his research, Jakub Tesař connects two areas of his expertise, International Relations and Physics.

He is interested in applications of the quantum (probability) theory in the social sciences, namely quantum game theory and quantum models of reasoning and decision-making.



BACKGROUND

Jakub Tesař studied International Relations, General and Plasma Physics, and received his Ph.D. from the Charles University. He was a visiting scholar at the Mershon Center for International Security Studies (Ohio State University), supervised by Prof Alexander Wendt.
