New special issue: EU's Digital Sovereignty in Central and Eastern European Politics

Our scholar Jakub Eberle and his colleague Linda Monsees have recently edited a special issue in the Journal of Contemporary European Studies on the topic of EU’s Digital Sovereignty in Central and Eastern European Politics.

The special issue argues that scholarship on EU digital sovereignty has so far overlooked the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, generating both an academic and political problem that reinforces existing hierarchies within the EU. The articles describe how CEE states have a dual disadvantage, as most are both small and dependent, and how that relates to digital sovereignty.

Renonwned experts on and from the CEE region have contributed to this issue: Asya Metodieva, Daniel Šitera, Justinas Lingevičius, Anastas Vangeli, Ana Bojinović Fenko, Faris Kočan, Marko Hočevar and Marko Lovec.
